Kennedy Cottage

My family with little ones stayed here in August for a beach vacation. The location is good - near both St Joe and South Haven so you can explore both towns. House is right off a very busy intersection of Blue Star Hwy tho and fairly noisy during the day. We didn’t have any issues with noise at night. This was definitely a “cottage” as opposed to a house and we had our fair share of country visitors (spiders and bugs to be expected, but didn’t love the nightly mouse visitors in the kitchen). Noting that there isn’t any laundry on site which wasn’t great for a family with little ones even tho this property is listed as good for families (also just a shower, no bathtub). Linens and towels are provided but only “just enough”, no extras or backups and we stayed for a week. Kitchen has essentials but is very small - don’t expect to cook frequently here. House has one AC window unit which kept up mostly ok, we left the bedrooms doors open - the fans throughout the cottage helped a lot. It was still a little warm, though we stayed in August and temps were hot. When we arrived the house was very clean and well furnished. The screen porch was our favorite spot for meals, hanging out, and playing with the kids. Not a lot of extras on site but this house was “good enough” and very close to Roadside Park and other beaches.
